Coach Stone was born and raised in Nacogdoches, Texas. He attended Central Heights High School where he played Basketball and ran Cross Country. He earned a bachelor’s degree from Stephen F. Austin State University where he served as a student athletic trainer for the basketball team. Coach Stone then began teaching and coaching at his Alma Mater, Central Heights. While there, he was in charge of the middle school basketball program as well as the freshmen basketball team and was the head middle school/high school cross country coach. His cross country teams made the regional meet each year and included a trip to state for one boy and one girl. Coach Stone was also a varsity assistant basketball coach and was a part of two playoff runs, one where the team was a game away from the regional tournament. Coach Stone came to Reedy during the 2016-2017 school year and coached the JV basketball team and the JV softball team.


In the 2018-2019 school year, Coach Stone became the varsity basketball assistant and the head boys Cross Country coach. Coach Stone married his beautiful wife, Joy, on June 14, 2014.

Lauren Watts graduated from Forney High School, where she competed on the  cross country, track, and  soccer teams.  She attended Stephen F. Austin State University from 2008 - 2012 and received her bachelor’s degree in Business Economics and Management. Watts was a hurdler/sprinter on the SFA Track & Field team which won 8 Southland Conference Championships while she was there. 

Coach Watts comes to Reedy from Forney High School after being an assistant coach in cross country and track for the last 5 years. During this time, Coach Watts help lead two cross country teams to the state meet as well as 3 individuals. She has a regional championship and 3 top 10 individual finishes at the state cross country meet to her credit. In track, she has coached state appearances in the 800, 1600, 3200, and pole vault as well as coaching a nationally ranked hurdler finishing with a gold medal at state. She has cinched district and area championships in track. Coach Watts has been instrumental in sending athletes to Baylor, Texas A&M, SFA, UCA, A&M Commerce and UT Tyler as a  high school coach. 

Coach Watts’s passion for running spills over into her personal life as well. She travels  across the country from Portland, Oregon, to Boulder, Colorado, to compete in 5Ks, halfs, and marathons.  She aspires to one day compete in the Boston Marathon.  

Coach Watts is actively involved in the CCCAT, TGCA, and the Texas Track and Field Coaches Association.
