Coach Walden
Assistant Volleyball Coach Bailey Walden graduated from Rice Consolidated High School where she was a multi-sport athlete participating in volleyball, basketball, track, & cheer. She played club volleyball starting at 11 years old until senior year. She decided to put her love for volleyball on hold as she attended Texas A&M University getting a bachelors in Kinesiology with a support field in math. She kept up with the sport by participating in intramurals and officiating. After graduation, Bailey started coaching volleyball at Glenda Dawson High School from 2019-2021. Her JV team won district both seasons she was there, and she was also an assistant coach for varsity that made 2 regional tournament playoff runs. Along with that, she had a successful 2020 club season coaching 11’s Red at Texas United. This is Bailey’s first year at Reedy High School and will be coaching track and teaching math as well. Bailey got married in June to her husband Jake and is excited to start their new life together in DFW with their dog Koe. |
Coach Miller
Assistant Volleyball Coach Amanda Miller graduated from Arlington High School and competed in the state volleyball tournament in 1998. After high school, she played collegiate volleyball at Texas A&M Kingsville and North Central Texas College. Amanda was an assistant coach at the collegiate level at Texas Wesleyan from 2007-2009. She coached club volleyball for Texas Advantage Volleyball Club, and was recently the varsity assistant coach for Lamar High School (Arlington, TX) who reached the "Sweet 16" in 2015. This is Amanda's fifth year at Reedy High School, and she is the Assistant Softball Coach. Her hobbies include being outside, and spending time with her family. Coach Miller has been married for four years to her husband, John. |
Coach Swenson
Assistant Volleyball Coach Eric Swenson was born and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. He played Men's Volleyball at Las Vegas High School and fell in love with the sport as he watched his sister play when she was in High School. After graduating from High School, he went to Mexico for two years which is where he learned Spanish and is one of the Spanish Teachers here at Reedy. He attended Brigham Young University and received his BA in Spanish and made volleyball a priority in his schedule, making sure he could play as much as possible in classes and intramural sports. He has been married to his wife Morgan for 4 years now and recently added their first son, Oliver, to their family and they are loving being first time parents. This is Eric's fourth year at Reedy High School, and third year teaching. He also coaches Freshman Women's Basketball. He couldn't be more thrilled and honored to be a part of this program along with fulfilling his dream of coaching. |
