Coach Rudd Varsity Volleyball Coach I was born and raised in Lewisville, Texas, where I was a multi-sport athlete playing volleyball and soccer at Lewisville HS as a Fighting Farmer. I am one of 4 siblings and love our family time that we still are blessed to have. I was fortunate to continue my volleyball career after High School at North Central Texas College and then at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. I received my first coaching/teaching job in Lewisville ISD at Durham Middle School in 2002. In Aug of 2006, I made the move and became part of the coaching staff at The Colony High School, where I coached Freshman volleyball and was the Varsity Assistant to the state-winning Girls' Soccer program in the spring of 2007. From 2002-2007, I spent my time coaching club volleyball at Victory and TAV for 14’s-17’s. In August 2007, Liberty HS in Frisco ISD became my home, I was the Varsity Assistant Volleyball and Track Coach. Throughout my eight years at Liberty, we saw many successes with long playoff runs, multiple athletes carrying on their careers in college, trips to State for the track., and most importantly, being a part of developing relationships that last to today. I enjoyed learning under phenomenal coaches/administration, which allowed me to challenge and grow my coaching/leadership skills. In 2015 I was blessed with the opportunity to open the brand-new Rick Reedy High School in Frisco ISD as the Head Volleyball Coach and Assistant Athletic Coordinator. Over the past 9 years, we have had seven playoff experiences and made it to the Elite 8 for the last three years. We have had 19 athletes choose to carry on their volleyball career into college and many more being successful at figuring out who they are without volleyball. We have had over 9 seasons of remarkable leadership and, in 2022, became 5A- State Runner, which was the 1st for Frisco ISD. In 2022, I had the honor to present at the THSCA coaching school, and in the summer of 2023, I was selected to be the Head Coach of the All-Star Blue Team for TGCA. Through the years, we have made adjustments and had many learning opportunities. I am incredibly proud of the program that we have built from the ground up, where we focus on the program as a whole and look for success in all places, not just the scoreboard or playing time. We take full advantage of using athletics to teach as many life lessons as possible. Outside of my professional life, I am a proud mother of two and have been happily married to my husband Jeremy since 2018. Balancing my roles as a mother, coordinator, and coach has been a challenge, but one that I embrace and learn from every day. Our family enjoys outdoor activities, playing board games (With Clue being our favorite), and attending festivals and concerts. We also love hiking, with Eisenhower State Park in Denison and Mineral Wells State Park being our go-to spots. |
