Coach Rudd Varsity Volleyball Coach I was born and raised in Lewisville Texas where I was a multi-sport athlete playing volleyball and soccer at Lewisville HS as a Fighting Farmer. I am one of 4 siblings and love our family time that we still are blessed to have. I was fortunate enough to continue playing volleyball at North Central Texas College and then at Southeastern Oklahoma State University. I received my first coaching/teaching job in LewisvilleISD at Durham Middle School in 2002. In Aug of 2006, I made the move and became part of the coaching staff at The Colony High School where I coached Freshman volleyball and was the Varsity Assistant to the State winning Girls Soccer program in spring of 2007. From 2002-2007, I spent my time coaching club volleyball at Victory and TAV for 14’s-17’s. In August of 2007 Liberty HS in Frisco ISD became my home where I was the Varsity Assistant Volleyball and Track Coach. Throughout my 9 years at Liberty we saw many successes with long playoff runs, athletes caring on their career in college and trips to State for track. I had the pleasure of learning under phenomenal coaches/administration which allowed me to challenge and grow my leadership skills In 2015 I was blessed with the opportunity to open the brand new Rick Reedy High School in Frisco ISD as the Head Volleyball Coach and Assistant Athletic Coordinator. Over the past 8 years we have had 8 playoff experiences and been in the Elite 8 three years in a row. We have had 17 athletes choose to carry on their volleyball career into college and many more being successful at figuring out who they are without volleyball. We have had over 9 seasons of wonderful leadership and in 2022 became 5A- State Runner which was the 1st for Frisco ISD. In 2022 I had the honor to speak at THSCA coaching school and the summer of 2023, I was picked to be the Head Coach of the All-Star Blue Team for TGCA where we had an exhibition game in July 2023. Through the years we have made adjustments and had many learning opportunities. I am extremely proud of the program that we have built from the ground up where we focus on the program as a whole and look for the success in all places, not just the scoreboard or playing time. We take full advantage of using athletics to teach as many life lessons as possible. I am a proud Mother of two, and have been happily married to Jeremy since 2018, who is an amazing Step Dad to Hayden (13) and Bryson (10). Finding the balance between being a Mom and a Coach has been difficult, but I continue to learn and embrace the challenges that come along with it. We are proud members of Hope Fellowship West campus. Our family loves to be outside, play board games (Clue is our favorite) and attend festivals/concerts. Some of our favorite places to hike are Eisenhower State Park in Denison and Mineral Wells State Park. |
